Time to get creative
It's that time again. Time to copy other people's creative ideas and Pinterest is the perfect vehicle for that. The projects are those which you already have the supplies for in your house already. Search Pinterest for Easter ideas here. I used chalkboard paint on some eggs to see if it actually would work. It did. Easy idea, will use it with the kids. Make your own egg dyes with this easy recipe!
Sure it's easy to buy the kits with dye tablets, but you might have many of the ingredients on hand to make your own dyes with more natural hues. 1. Combine ingredients in a saucepan, add desired veggies, fruits or spices as dye and stir well. Bring to a boil, then cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Strain and reserve liquid for dyeing. Event offered plenty of fun, but poor planning marred egg hunt
Four sports fields at the School Age Services on Fort Stewart were filled with thousands of eggs for the annual Easter Egg Hunt. Just as many people were there to partake in the hunt, and other fun games held Saturday. The hunt was divided into age groups 0-2, 3-4, 5-7, and 8-10. This is where the chaos began. Parents were only going to be allowed on the field with their children in the 0-2 group. The plan was for the other groups to have the children line up around the field and go find eggs while the parents stood outside the fence. Well, that plan failed miserably.
