The Hinesville restaurant that started life as a popular food trailer in 2004 is back, this time at a permanent location.
After a long hiatus, a Hinesville restaurant that started life as a popular roadside food cart is back, this time at a permanent location. Chris's Curbside Grill opened Nov. 19 at 918-D Hollywood Drive in Hinesville. The restaurant, which serves burgers, sandwiches and more than 50 varieties of wings, came into being years ago when owner Chris Hicks was a young man looking for a job. "It was around the beginning of the Iraq War," Hicks said. "I was 22, 23 years old and couldn't find work. I went into Revolutions Night Club and said, "Let me use your kitchen. I'll pay you rent, and your customers will be eating here instead of going to Huddle House or Waffle King." Soon, Hicks said, his food was popular enough that some customers came into …
