Two Sought in Long County Kidnapping, Assault

Three others already charged, in custody

The Long County Sheriff's Office is looking for two alleged accomplices in a kidnapping and assault that took place last month, according to a Coastal Courier report.

Ibrihiym Bey III and Ciro Yalain Enriquez remain at large while three others who were allegedly involved -- Veronica Garcia Enriquez, Alberto Enriquez and Lassone R. Walker-- have been arrested, according to the Courier.

Long County Sheriff Craig Nobles told the Courier that on April 26, an Allenhurst man was walking along Winntown Road with a group of friends when a red Ford Taurus stopped near them and a woman got out and began hitting him in the face. Two men then allegedly got out of the car, one brandishing a pistol, and dragged the man into the car with them before driving off.

Witnesses contacted the Sheriff's Office, and during the search a deputy stopped a car matching the witnesses' description of the red Taurus and arrested Veronica Garcia Enriquez, Alberto Enriquez and Walker.

Later the same day, another Long County deputy saw a man who appeared injured walking along Griffin Road, according to the Courier. Upon making contact with the man, the deputy discovered he was the kidnap victim and got him medical attention.

Based on interviews with the victim and witnesses, the Sheriff's Office issued warrants for Bey and Ciro Yalain Enriquez, in addition to the three suspects already arrested, the Courier reported. Both men are believed to have fled the county and are considered dangerous.

Anyone who has information about Bey or Enriquez should call 545-2118.
