Suspect Fatally Shot by Liberty County Deputy
Nathaniel Pruitt Jr., 24, was shot and killed Sunday in Walthourvile.

A Liberty County deputy shot a man in Walthourville Sunday morning, according to a Coastal Courier report. Nathaniel Pruitt Jr., 24, was killed in the shooting.
Walthourville Police Chief Tracy McFadden told the Coastal Courier that Pruitt was armed. The deputy shot him in the parking lot of Walthourville's Bo Maz nightclub, according to the Courier.
The shooting reportedly took place following an altercation in which another person had been shot in the leg, according to the Courier.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is handling the case. The name of the deptuy involved in the shooting has not been released.
