Once again Obama is demonstrating his brand of political expediency with his visit to Ft. Stewart. This is the same guy who attacked the Bush administration at every opportunity for literally every military operation that took place while Bush was President. Perhaps one might remember during the "hunt for Osama" that Obama was strong in his statements that he should be captured and tried in a court of law for his actions, yet when his popularity faltered and his political fortunes needed a boost, he had him assassinated. Now with the 2012 Presidential campaign underway, Obama is using the dedicated members of the US ARMY as "props" for his re-election, and at the expense of tax payers. As a veteran of the Us Army myself, Obama's actions make me NAUSEATED! Funny how his attitude has changed from his days as a Senator from Illinois. Hopefully both the members of our Armed Forces as well as the public in general will see though the actions of this phony hypocrite! Our nation can't stand four more years of his administration!

Look up the videos of Obama during his campaign. He said he would capture or kill Osama Bin Laden. Do you remember when Bush said he wasn't worried about Bin Laden? Why would a president say he wasn't concerned about someone who masterminded the killing of more than 3,000 Americans. You should be grateful we have a leader who has the guts and intelligence fix the problems his predecessor caused

Apparently you missed all the speeches Bush made after 9/11 about getting Bin Laden. You probably like high grocery prices, expensive gas, and NO JOBS!

What he said campaigning and what he said as a Senator are two different things, especially when he was disagreeing with Bush. (Obama never says the same thing twice anyway!) By the way, the whole initial mission into Afghanistan was about hunting Obama! By the way, unlike Obama, Bush wouldn't violate Pakistan's sovereign space. Please check your facts before responding.

I'm pretty sure Obama was still a senator when he was campaigning. The attached link is from Senator Obama http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kKHsjRzUTLQ. How's that for fact checking? No I didn't miss the Bush speeches after 9/11 about getting Bin Laden. Bush said via TV to Bin Laden, "You can run but you can't hide". I suppose you figure Bush meant, "You can run but you can't hide, unless you hide in Pakistan." Unlike Bush, Obama followed through on his promise. You apparently are among the minority of people on the planet who was not celebrating when Obama announced that Bin Laden had been taken out. Check out this link to refresh your memory: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZaLha2URI30. Perhaps, if Bush had not been distracted by the unnecessary and costly Iraq invasion (talk about violating another nation's sovereign space!) he would have been more successful in his hunt for Bin Laden. I wonder if you would have been so upset had Bin Laden been taken out in the same manner under the Bush presidency as you are by Obama's success.

DSmith9054, Obama expressly attacked Bush and stated that Osama must be apprehended and "brought to justice" in 2004 when elected to the senate. Of course when he was trying to get elected as a "centrist" (another Obama deception), he did the MACHO talk about getting Osama. Frankly Obama and his fellow far left Dems have done more damage to America than Bin laden and Al Qaeda ever did.

Would anybody really like to know how many tens of MILLIONS of Dollars this CAMPAIGN stop is costing the America tax payers? I wouldn't want to spend a dime on it, and if I was still in the Army, I surely wouldn't appreciate seeing this leftist jerk!

David,
I assume you were just as irate about the numerous times George W. Bush visited troops at military bases?

Ryan, I know you don't like to hear your hero criticized, but this is what I though of the Obama directed assasination of Osama. "Like many Americans, I am surely not mourning the death of Bin Laden. I always wanted to see him get what he deserved. That being stated, the current state of the nation can't be hidden by the death of Bin laden. Joblessness is at a vastly unacceptable level. Energy prices are continuing on an upward trajectory. Misguided fiscal policies and resultant inflation is stealing my retirement before my eyes! These SERIOUS issues that affect all of us daily indeed can't be hidden by a gratuitous need for revenge."

David,
Obama is not my hero. He's a political figure whom I will cover objectively. Exactly as I covered his predecessor. And where in this thread did I mention the death of bin Laden? Others brought that up; talk to others about it. I've been patient with this conversation because you and Dsmith9054 are having a pretty interesting exchange. I've given both of you tether I might not ordinarily give. But you're making comments like "far left dems did more damage to America than al Qaeda." That's an objectively false statement, and pretty damn hateful to boot, considering last I checked, Democrats didn't kill 3,000 fellow Americans.

Obviously than hasn't happened yet, but it is OBVIOUS that they don't like the Constitution much the way it is. They especially don't care for the first and second amendments. That and the fact they believe that it is the responsibility of the GOVT to take care of everyone. My view of the FEDERAL Govt is that it's responsibility begins and ends with defending our shores and delivering the mail (and five days per week is plenty). The policies of BHO have run up an insurmountable deficit. Currently nearly half the American population receives a govt Check and only 42% of the population pays federal taxes (talk about paying your fair share). Yet the left continues to preach that all we need to do to fix our financial mess is to raise taxes on the "Rich." Apparently none of them own a simple calculator, because it won't put a small dent in the debt!
