Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

Patch is Looking for the 'Greatest Person' in Town

Know someone who does great work in the Fort Stewart area? We want to tell his or her story!

Do you know someone who does great work for charity? Someone who overcame huge odds to get where he is today? Someone who inspires others? Well, here at Fort Stewart Patch, we want to know that person too.

We're starting a new, monthly feature called "Greatest Person," which will tell the stories of people in our community whose examples inspire us. It could be a military hero; it could be a charitable volunteer. It could be a great teacher or a business owner who goes above and beyond to give back to the community. It could even be a senior citizen whose wisdom instructs us or a school kid who accomplished something amazing.

The point is, we want to tell their stories, and we want you to let us know if there's a "Greatest Person" living next door to you -- or maybe under your own roof! If you know someone who ought to be Patch's "Greatest Person," drop me a line at ryan.smith@patch.com and tell me who and why. Just put "Greatest Person" in the subject line.

I'll accept nominees continuously from now on; "Greatest Person" is here to stay. With your help, Fort Stewart Patch wants to tell the stories of the people who make this community a better, brighter place to live.

Got something to say about this story? Tell us what you think in the comments.

Feel free to write a letter to the editor by sending it to ryan.smith@patch.com. Please keep it under 500 words, include your name and city of residence.
