Public Invited to Participate in Savannah Excavation
An excavation is taking place in the vaults along the Drayton Street Ramp near City Hall in Savannah, and Georgia Southern University archaeologists are inviting the public to help.
Archaeologists are looking for artifacts to determine what the Drayton Street vaults were used for. The public assisted in the excavation Saturday, and there will be another public help day Jan. 26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Will you show up to help? Did you help at the last public dg? Let us know in the comments!
